Corinthians suffered a defeat at the Arbitral Court of Sport (CAS) and FIFA maintained the conviction of Alvinegro for the debt with Santos Laguna, Mexico, for hiring Felix Torres.
With this, if it does not pay the debt with the Mexican club until midnight on August 11, Alvinegro will be prevented from registering new players.

Felix Torres was bought by Alvinegro in 2024 for about $ 6.5 million – R $ 36 million in the current price.
How much does Corinthians have to pay to avoid transfer ban?
To avoid transfer Ban, Corinthians has to pay $ 6,145 million – about $ 34 million – for the Mexican team.
The amount comprises part of the transfer that was not paid, fine, interest and judicial fees of the process.
Alvinegro even paid the $ 2 million business entry, but then did not make any payment for the Mexican team – the installments won in May 2024.

Due to the debt, Santos Laguna filed a lawsuit at FIFA, in which Timon was convicted. Now, after appeal at CAS, Corinthians no longer have resources.
Alvinegro lives a delicate financial moment. The team seeks the advance of R $ 57 million of Liga Forte União (LFU) transmission rights to keep the accounts up to date.
Nevertheless, coach Dorival Júnior asked the hiring of four reinforcements to Corinthians, who has not brought any athlete in this transfer window.
