Iberia issued a statement in which it registered the incident and announced an “exhaustive investigation, both inside and with the external suppliers responsible for Catering, with the objective of clarifying the incident”. “The crew of Iberia documented the incident and was involved to serve the affected. The commander personally headed to apologize on behalf of the airline,” he explained. “Behaviors of this feature are unacceptable and contrary to the values of respect and inclusion that are an essential part of Iberia,” added the company, which promised to “adopt all measures that are pertinent” as it is clarified.

On July 23, a group of Jewish French teenagers who were returning from vacation from were removed, along with their monitors, from the plane that should take them from Valencia airport to minutes before taking off. The company justified the decision for “security reasons” and said the teenagers had an “inappropriate conduct” on the plane. The version was countered by the camp organizing association, which announced that it presented a complaint for “physical, psychological violence and discrimination for religious reasons.”
