Open Inquiry into the disclosure of names of immigrant children enrolled in a school in Lisbon. Leader of the arrival read the list of names in the Assembly of the Republic and Rita Matias released them in a video online.
The prosecutor confirmed on Wednesday the opening of an inquiry to the president of arrival, André Ventura and the party deputy Rita Matiasabout the disclosure of names of immigrant children enrolled in a school in Lisbon.
In an answer sent to Lusa, the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) said that “the establishment of an inquiry related to the matter is confirmed.”
André Ventura mentioned the list of names in the Assembly of the Republic, of allegedly immigrant children, after Rita Matias released the names in a video shared on social networks.
“These gentlemen are zero Portuguese”André Ventura said, in the face of the applause standing on his bench, considering that the mentioned immigrant children have passed the Portuguese nationality children on the list to get a place in the public school.
The young deputy arrives later that arrives did not check if the names of the children who read and reread were real.

Regarding this disclosure, and after several complaints, the National Data Protection Commission announced on July 16 that it opened a process of investigations. The body chaired by Paula Meira Lourenço will evaluate the case, and if the complaints are given, for violation of the General Data Protection Scheme (RGPD), the targets may have to pay a fine.
