The nominees to the categories of Golden Ball 2025promoted by the traditional French magazine France Footballwere released on Thursday (7). The long -awaited delivery will be made at one of the most iconic places in Paris: the Châtelet Theater.
The ceremony, which will bring together world football stars to celebrate the highlights of the 2024/25 season, It is considered the most prestigious individual award of the sport. In addition to the main trophies, other important categories will also be revealed throughout the night.

When will the 2025 gold ball happen?
Unlike previous years, the Golden Ball will happen a little earlier. The ceremony, traditionally scheduled for October, has been anticipated: it will be held on the day September 22, 2025.
France Football has not confirmed if this anticipation will be maintained for the next editions. As in every year, the event will be attended by athletes, technicians, leaders and special guests, as well as live broadcast to several countries.
Egalitarian award between men and women
For the first time in history, the award will be held egalitarian form between the male and female categories.
Previously, women only competed for best player, best coach and club awards of the year. This year, they also play the Female kopa trophy (Best Player U21), the Women’s Yashin Trophy (best goalkeeper) and the recognition of Greatest scorer of the season.
