President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) received the team of “The Secret Agent” at the Palace of Alvorada for a special exhibition of the Brazilian movie internationally awarded. The title debuts in theaters in November 6.
“Today was the day to receive companions Wagner Moura and Kleber Mendonça Filho at Cine Alvorada. We watched together ‘The Secret Agent’, a film that shone at the Cannes 2025 festival, winning the best direction awards for Kleber Mendonça Filho, and best actor, for Wagner Moura. A work that shows the strength and talent of Brazilian cinema,” he wrote.
The film team arrived for Cine Alvorada with a presentation by the Frevo Guerreiros do Passo group. See below.
Filmmaker Kleber Mendonça Filho also shared a record alongside the president. “I with Lula. Brazil is a country that still has ties with reality. Grateful,” he wrote.

Set in the 1977 Recife, the title is a political thriller, accompanying Marcelo, a technology expert who runs away from a mysterious past and returns to Recife in search of peace, but soon realizes that the city is far from being the refuge it seeks.
