Japan negotiator met with the US Treasury Secretaries and Treasury in Washington

Japanese commercial negotiator has announced that the United States will modify an executive order to avoid overlapping tariffs on Japan products. The information was released on Thursday (7.ago.2025) after meetings in Washington with US authorities.

During the meetings, according to, Akazawa asked the US Secretary of Commerce, and the Treasury Secretary, that the rate of, agreed in July, was not cumulatively applied to products that already face higher rates such as beef.
