And today they have released the text of a peace agreement, which was reached by their mediation, with the countries committing to respect the territorial integrity of each other and that they would formally end a conflict of almost four decades.

The text of the agreement, published by the Foreign Ministries of both countries, states that Gerevan and Baku will resign from all claims on the territory of one and the other, they will not use one against each other and commit to respecting international law.
“This agreement is a steady basis for establishing a credible and lasting peace, the result of an agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan that reflects the balanced interests of the two countries,” Pasinian wrote on Facebook.
Armenia, with the overwhelming majority of its population being Christians, and Azerbaijan, with the majority of its population being Muslims, were confronted in two wars for their borders and for the regime of ethnic pockets.
The two former Soviet democracies have been trying for years to reach a peacekeeping agreement, but the talks did not result in any results. On Friday, their leaders pledged to Washington, according to Trump, to “stop” their territorial conflict.
