Ukrainian President Volodymyr Genskyj said on Monday evening that Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin, according to information from Ukrainian secret services “Definitely not preparing for a ceasefire or ending war” and Russian troops are preparing for new offensive operations. President Ukraine said this in his regular evening speech published on the social network X, informs TASR.
“So far, there is no indication that the Russians get a signal to prepare for the post -war situation. On the contrary, they move their units and forces in a way that suggests preparation for new offensive operations,” says the Ukrainian head of state.
Preparations for a meeting of Putin and Trump
Greens said four days before the meeting of Putin and US President Donald Trump in Alaska. According to President of Ukraine, “Putin is determined to present a meeting with America just as your personal victory and then continue the action exactly as it has been and put the same pressure on Ukraine as before.”
The upcoming negotiations also commented on Monday’s German diplomacy chief Johann Wadephul, who, according to DPA, refused speculation that Kiev could resign part of his territory to Russia. The possible exchange of territories among the opposing countries was indicated by Trump on Monday.
“Violence must not push the borders,” Wadephul wrote on X. According to him, Germany supports the goal of the US President to end the war in Ukraine. However, the result must be fair and permanent peace.
