The Supreme Court said today that it approved 552 agreements of Non -Penalty (ANPP), offered only to defendants who responded by incitement to crime and criminal association.
“They were camped in front of the barracks, but there is no evidence that they participated in the attempted coup d’état, obstruction of the powers of the Republic, or damage to public assets,” the court explained.
In addition to confessions, defendants also pledged to provide services to the community or public entities and not commit similar crimes, nor being prosecuted by other crimes or misdemeanors. They still agreed with a fine of R $ 5,000.
“They are also prohibited from participating in open social networks until the fulfillment of the conditions established in the agreement. In addition, they will have to participate in a course on democracy, rule of law and coup,” the Supreme Court added.
The indemnity for collective moral damages, regarding the “cost of destruction in public buildings”, reaches R $ 30 million. “This amount will be paid in solidarity by all convicted of serious crimes, regardless of the size of the penalty.”
