About A at Airport, most ministers in one month received R $ 166.5 thousand only in values related to aid, such as money for housing, food and cost aid.
The account does not include their salary, only the so-called indemnities, which, according to the Court, include amounts due to food aid, transportation, preschool, health, birth, housing aid, cost assistance and “others of this nature”. Asked by the report, the court did not say what are the other nature aid.
The amounts were paid by the Court in December 2024 to 23 of the 27 ministers. Another two received a little less, $ 150,000, and one, newcomer to the court, earned $ 15,300. The record holder was Minister Breno Medeiros, with R $ 175,800 in funds at once.
Since these payments are compensation, it does not focus on income tax.
The remuneration of ministers in December is more vulgar than other months. Usually they pocket with these aids about $ 17,000 per month, four times more than the average salary of the Brazilian worker, which was $ 3,408 in April, according to the IPEA (Institute of Applied Economic Research).
The court does not discriminate which are all types of aid on its site or the values that each magistrates receive with these hangers. Only adds all in a tab called “indemnities” in its transparency portal.
Sought, the TST states in a statement that “any and any decision to pay due amounts, as well as remuneration, follows criteria established by law and approved by the (National Council of Justice), observing the constitutional ceiling, and may be checked in the respective sites, following the principles of transparency”.
The largest payment this year, of R $ 26,400, occurred to Minister Evandro Valadão in May. The values of other magistrates vary, but none received less than $ 14,400 in a month. The total expense last year exceeded $ 63 million only in “aid”.
In addition, they are also entitled to “eventual advantages”, such as Christmas gratification, vacation compensation (which are 60 days) and bonuses for replacement of colleagues, and “personal advantages”, as additional by length of service and permanence allowance.
These penduricals all made remuneration of ministers exceeded R $ 400 thousand net in December.
The indemnity funds add to other benefits. The court bought Lexus brand luxury cars, at the cost of R $ 346.5 thousand per unit, so that the ministers use in Brasilia, even if their work does not involve travel in the city, where is the headquarters of the TST.
The purchase of vehicles was initially reported by the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo, in October 2024, and detailed this month by the Metropolis Portal.
These benefits will add to the VIP room at Brasilia airport that, like the Sheet revealed, it will cost at least R $ 1.5 million, which does not include furniture and food expenses and employees who will work on site.
The plan also includes services for ministers, such as a private car to take them to the aircraft without having to wait in the boarding line with the other passengers. Each transfer will cost R $ 144 to the public coffers.
Ministers may also request accompaniment by an airport employee, at a cost of R $ 284 for service to the court, even on personal trips.
“The way the authorities were carried out and air landing provided the approach of malicious or inconvenient individuals, which significantly increased the preventable risks to these authorities,” the TST justified in a statement.
After Sheet Revealing the existence of the work, OEO have filed representations for the TCU (Federal Court of Audit) to suspend the contracts. The claims have not yet been tried.
