False lubricant sold on the internet is seized by Anvisa

A counterfeit batch of the intimate lubricating gel K-Med 2 in 1 was seized by Anvisa (National Health Surveillance Agency) on Wednesday (13). The measure was taken after Cimed, a company holding the product, identifying a similar product being marketed on Shopee’s online sales site.

A and prohibits its storage, marketing, distribution, advertising and its use. The company that manufactured the counterfeit product is still unknown.

O. The true lot of the product has as its manufacturing date 03/2023 and validity up to 03/2026. Any unit with different dates is irregular and should not be used.

Because it is a counterfeit product, there is no guarantee about its content, origin or quality. Consumers who identify false units can communicate the fact to Anvisa.

CIMED clarifies that it immediately communicated the facts to the sanitary and police authorities, that already investigate the case.
