The National Index of Civil Construction retreated 0.57 percentage point compared to June
In July, the Sinapi (National Index of Civil Construction) varied 0.31%. The rate is 0.57 percentage point below that recorded in June, which was 0.88%. The accumulated in the last 12 months was 5.25%, resulting below 5.34% registered in the immediately previous 12 months. The data were released on Tuesday (12.ago.2025) by IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics).
The national cost of construction, per square meter, which in June closed at R $ 1,842.65, went to R $ 1,848.39 in July, being R $ 1,058.77 related to materials and R $ 789.62 at labor.
The portion of the materials ranged 0.23%, with positive variation less accentuated compared to the previous month (0.41%), and the July 2024 index (0.30%).
“The portion of the labor, despite some collective agreements signed in the period, had a variation of 0.42%, minus 1.10 percentage point compared to June, and 0.11 percentage point less compared to July 2024”explains the research manager, Augusto Oliveira.
From January to July the accumulated were 2.30% for materials and 4.50% for labor. The accumulated in 12 months were 4.91% in the portion of materials and 5.76% in the portion of the labor.
Northeast records greater monthly variation in July
Influenced by the highs in the portion of professionals in Ceará and Alagoas, the Northeast got the largest regional variation in July, 0.69%. The other large regions presented the following results:
- North Region – 0.24%
- Southeast Region – 0.11%
- Southern Region – 0.19%
- Midwest Region-0.20%
Alagoas records greater discharge
High in the portion of materials and collective agreement signed in the professional categories, Alagoas was the state that registered the highest rate in July, 3.02%. Followed by Ceará under the same conditions (2.31%).
