Cáceres | The Jarilla fire exceeds 15,000 hectares burned waiting for more aerial media
The fire originated in Jarilla a week ago has exceeded 15,000 hectares razed and 155 kilometers perimeter as it passes through the Ambroz and Jerte Valley regions. There, the cherry trees of the Gargantilla area have stopped the advance of the flames.
Only 5% of the cherry trees in the area have been affected, confirmed the Minister of Presidency, Interior and Social Dialogue, Abel Bautista, in statements after the last meeting of the Cecopi. The advanced command post located on the farm will receive on Tuesday the visit of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez.
