The Secretary of Treasure of the USA, Scott Bessent, said he expects a substantial increase in tariff recipes compared to the $ 300 billion he predicted earlier this year and said the money will be used to start paying the considerable debt federal USA.
Bessent, in an interview with CNBC, declined to give a new specific revenue forecast, but said he and President Donald Trump are “concentrated” on debt payment.
“I’ve been saying that tariff revenue can be $ 300 billion this year. I will have to review it substantially,” he said.
