The governor of Mato Grosso, (Union), countered this Thursday (21) the criticism made by the councilman (-RJ) to governors of the right.
Asked by journalists in, Mendes said the speech of the former president’s son (PL) was “poured” and said he said “by mouth what should come out elsewhere.”
“He must be feeling injured, hurt, and speaking through the mouth what should go out from another. I think this kind of attack is very bad, this does not help to solve any problem. The fear of some political leaders, which claim to be leaders, this is very bad. This does not contribute to society,” he said.
Mendes’ criticism occurred days after Carlos Bolsonaro published on his social networks that “governors of the right” behave like rats “and act” opportunistic “in trying to inherit his father’s political estate, which is ineligible until 2030 and meets home arrest by order of the Supreme Court.
The publication was made a day after (Novo-MG) launched his presidential candidacy and was shared by another son of the former president, the deputy (PL-SP).
In the post, Carlos stated that governors sacrifice the people “by power” and do not differ from the PT, the party they say fight. He also accused state bosses to move away from bolsonarism guidelines, such as amnesty to the condemned by the scammers of January 8.
According to allies, among the targets of the attacks are not only Zema, but also Tarcisio de Freitas (Republicans-SP), Ronaldo Caiado (-GO) and Ratinho Jr. (PSD-PR), all quoted as possible successors of Jair Bolsonaro in the presidential race.
Mendes also said he was “fed up” of political polarization in the country. “It is a useless discussion, which at the end of the day does not put food on the table, does not improve the roads, does not improve health,” he added. The statement was given upon arrival at Senator Margareth Buzetti’s act of affiliation, who exchanged the PSD for the PP to enable his reelection.
