It is linked to a project that can directly impact the development of Paraguayan football. In the final phase of preparation for the 2026 World Cup, the Paraguayan Federation signed this week an agreement with Avanutri, a Brazilian company specializing in physical evaluation technology, recovery and high performance, and since 2023 has the brand of the Portuguese star in its signature.
The partnership was discussed during a visit by the federation’s director general, former goalkeeper Villar, at Avanutri facilities in Três Rios, Rio de Janeiro. Alongside marketing manager Silvia Caballero, Villar met the factory and also the company’s social projects. They were received by CEO Rodrigo Santana, who highlighted the origin of the approach.
– It is a pleasure to receive the fair and marketing manager of the Paraguayan Federation to know all our structure and production line. Who took the AVA to them was Gatito Fernández, who already used our technology in Botafogo. But with so much advance and modernization, and all now developed with Cristiano Ronaldo, they came to close a greater partnership. It’s a big project – he said.
Former Paraguayan national team captain with 120 games for the national team, Villar was captain of the team at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, leading the country to an unprecedented quarterfinals. At the time, Paraguay was eliminated by Spain, which would end up champion. The following year, Justo was elected the best goalkeeper of the Copa America.
– The visit is part of the discussions that the Federation and Ava CR7 maintain with a view to a cooperation agreement, which will allow us to incorporate technological innovation in the formation of our players and the modernization of the institution. The meeting reinforces our view of investing in strategic alliances that contribute to the full growth of Paraguayan football, boosting both sports and international projection of our selection – said.
In addition to the high performance structure, Villar met the Avanutri Institute, which serves more than 250 children from 5 to 13 years old in sports activities and medical follow -up. The former player was thrilled to see the social initiative closely, considered by the company fundamental of his performance in Brazil.
