At least one person died on Sunday (24) when a gas cylinder exploded at an iconic Moscow toy store, reported state news agencies.
The explosion occurred at Central Children ‘S Store, known by most Russians as the “Detsky Mir” toy store. The establishment is located at Lubyanka Square near the headquarters of the KGB Soviet era.
“Unfortunately, according to preliminary information, there is a death and some people have been injured,” said Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
The toy store building, which also houses several restaurants, shops and a cinema, has been emptied, Russian news agencies reported.
The Mash Telegram channel said a Helium container exploded.
