Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping e Kim Jong Un
During a military parade in Beijing on Wednesday, which was attended by Russian leaders Vladimir Putin, and North Korea Kim Jong-un, Chinese President Xi Jinping said the “rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is unstoppable.”
China organized an unprecedented military parade on Wednesday to celebrate the 80th anniversary since the end of World War II (1939-1945).
Xi Jinping appealed to the eradication of the causes of war, to avoid the repetition of the story.
The main message, however, was the affirmation of China’s role in the world: “The Chinese people are a people who do not fear violence, they are self -sufficient and strong,” he said.
“The rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is unstoppable And the noble cause of the peace and development of humanity will surely triumph, ”said Xi, in a speech before tens of thousands of people in Tiananmen Square.
The event had the display of missiles, modern fighters and other military equipmentmany of which are shown to the public for the first time, a sign of the growing weight that China wants to take on the international stage.
The ceremony began with an 80 artillery shot and the execution of the National Anthem, “Volunteer March”, composed in 1935 during resistance to the Japanese invasion.
“Dictators’ Worship”
O President of Taiwan willigine Fin criticized the “dictators worship” and the secret police networks in authoritarian regimes.
“O fascism covers extreme nationalismthe search for great illusory national rejuvenation, the rigid internal control of discourse, the repression of social diversity, the creation of secret police networks and the blatant worship of dictators, ”wrote William Lai, on the social network Facebook.
The Taiwanese president recalled that it was General Hsu Yung-Chang of Kuomintang Republicans (KMT), who signed Japan’s surrender in 1945 on behalf of China, stressing that since then, “The old axis countries have become democracies”.
In 1949, with the victory of the Communist forces of Mao Zedong and the proclamation of the Popular Republic of China, the Government of the Republic of China, led by KMT Chiang Kai-Shek, took refuge on the island of Taiwan, where he continues to function with autonomy to this day.
Beijing considers Taiwan a “inalienable part” of Chinese territory and does not rule out the use of force to attach the island, one of Xi’s long -term goals after assuming power in 2012.
China has intensified a diplomatic and military pressure campaign against Taiwan in recent years, regularly performing military exercises near the island.
Before the start of the stop, Xi Jinping said that “the Chinese people are a people who do not fear violence, they are self -sufficient and strong.”
“The rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is unstoppable and the noble cause of peace and the development of humanity will certainly triumph,” he said.
During the parade, US President Donald Trump accused China leaders, Russia and North Korea of ”conspiring against the US,” while Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un attended a military parade in Beijing.
“I ask you to convey my most warm greetings to Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un, while conspiring against the United States of America.”wrote Donald Trump on the Truth Social network on Tuesday, addressing the Chinese president.
Trump also accused China of “not recognizing” the sacrifice of US soldiers in the war against Japan.
In his speech, Xi did not directly mention the United States, but thanked the support of foreign countries that helped China in the resistance against the Japanese invasion.
The parade, in addition to showing military force, also aims to reinforce internal support to the Communist Party and project to the US dominated international order since the postwar.
