The Israeli Rescue Service has announced that no damage or injuries have been reported so far.
For a rocket detonated from Yemen, on Wednesday, a large part of Israel was heard. In Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and other cities, hundreds of thousands of people have resorted to shelters, DPA reported. The Israeli army subsequently announced that the air defense was shot down by the Yemeni missile, writes TASR.
The Israeli news portal Ynet said they temporarily suspended the operation of the International Airport in Tel Aviv during the alarm. According to the report, Wizz Air aircraft from Budapest had to stay in the air for a short time.
The attack was later entered by the Yemen’s insurgents Húsís. Their military spokesman in a television statement claimed that they had detonated two ballistic missiles in Israel and only used a rocket capable of carrying cassette ammunition for the second time. The spokesman said the operation was directed against the “sensitive goal” in Israel and “successfully achieved its goals”.
The Israeli Rescue Service has announced that no damage or injuries have been reported so far.
Iran’s supporting Húsi has been attacking Israel with rockets and drones repeatedly since the beginning of the war in the Gaza Strip in October 2023. They allegedly express solidarity with the Palestinians. Israel, in turn, takes strokes to goals in Yemen. During his air raid last Thursday, the Prime Minister of the Internationally Unrecognized Government of Húsís Ahmad Raháwi and nine his ministers died.
