While Jair Bolsonaro (PL) remains at home, surrounded by his children, during the Federal Supreme Court (STF) trial, former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro should repeat on Wednesday the routine she adopted yesterday: to fulfill political agendas at the PL headquarters in Brasilia, far from her husband.
On Tuesday, when the ministers began analysis of the criminal action that could lead to the former president’s conviction for attempted coup, Michelle was with party leaders. Among the subjects of his day is the possible candidacy of former secretary Teresinha Neves to the House of Representatives in 2026. Teresinha was director of policies for women during the Bolsonaro government and is linked to the former first lady.
The choice to accompany the trial from the party headquarters – not with her husband, in her home, where Bolsonaro received Carlos and Jair Renan – was read in the PL as a political gesture. Her presence worked as a kind of counterweight to Bolsonaro’s isolation.

According to interlocutors, Valdemar Costa Neto, party president, has encouraged Michelle to occupy this space. The former first lady has been consolidated as a bridge between evangelical militancy, women’s parliamentarians and the acronym summit.
The day after the last date scheduled for the trial, next Friday (13), Michelle travels to Sorriso, Mato Grosso, to continue his agendas at PL Woman.
Since the beginning of the year, Michelle has intensified party commitments, especially focused on women’s guidelines and Christian electorate.
