Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday that any Western troops that would be deployed in Ukraine in the future would become a legitimate goal of the Russian army. According to him, no foreign soldiers will be needed in Ukraine. TASR reports according to AFP.
“If there are some troops, especially now during the fighting, we are based on the assumption that they will be legitimate goals,” Putin said at the economic forum in Vladivostok in the Russian Far East. According to him, the deployment of Western forces is not beneficial for long -term peace.
Macron’s statement
Putin responded to Thursday’s statement by French President Emmanuel Macron after the summit of the so -called. Coalitions willing to ensure that security guarantees for post -war Ukraine are “ready” and 26 countries have committed to sending their troops to secure the future peace.
