United States President Donald Trump questioned the need for Congress to approve the decision to rename the Defense Department as a “war department,” even though a congress law was needed to change it last time.
“I don’t know, but let’s find out, but I’m not sure if they need it,” Trump commented to reporters in the White House Oval Hall after signing an executive order on the subject.
Regardless of this, he stressed that the government will use the name “War Department”.
“But let’s find out. Let’s see if they do it. Let’s approve it, and very firmly. There is a doubt whether they need it or not, but we will introduce it to Congress,” he said.
Trump also signaled that
“Not much. We know how to reshape the brand without going crazy. We don’t have to rewrite a mountain or anything. We won’t do it the most expensive way – we’ll start changing the material,” he said.
