This Sunday, September 7, when Brazil celebrates 203 years of independence, Bolsonarists return to Paulista Avenue to ask former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) for crimes for which he is still being tried at the Supreme Court (STF).
The trial that began last Tuesday, 2, and is scheduled to end next Friday, 12, may condemn the former president for trying to give a coup in the country in 2022 after losing the elections.
The last time they were gathered in Paulista, Bolsonaro did not attend the act. The former president complied with restrictive measures, using an electronic anklet, which prevented him from leaving home on weekends. At the time, for circumventing one of the rules imposed by Minister Alexandre de Moraes -not to use social networks even though through third parties -Bolsonaro now meets house arrest.

Last month’s act gathered 37,600 supporters, according to the monitor of the public debate of the digital environment of the University of São Paulo (USP). The electric trio that gathered the authorities, however, was visibly depleted than in the previous demonstrations, with the absence of several “stamped stickers”.
The lack of politicians did not go unnoticed. Pastor Silas Malafaia gave a “scolding” to the governors who want to inherit the estate of the ineligible former president, who seems to have had an effect. This time, the heads of the executives of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema (Novo), and Santa Catarina, Jorginho Mello (PL), who were missing in the act of August 3, confirmed to Estadão that they will be present this Sunday.
The governor of Goiás, Ronaldo Caiado (Union), was also sought and the advisory said he will confirm Sunday’s schedule in the coming days. Already the governor of Paraná, Ratinho Júnior (PSD), said he will not attend.

From the Bolsonaro family, Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) said he will participate in the demonstration in Rio de Janeiro, so he should not attend the act in São Paulo. Former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro this time will be in the state capital. At the last demonstration in August, she decided to attend the act in Belém, Pará, where she was scheduled at an event at PL Mulher. Councilors Carlos Bolsonaro (PL), from Rio, and Jair Renan (PL), from Balneário Camboriú (SC), did not respond if they will be at the time in São Paulo to divide the electric trio with Tarcisio.
Other Bolsonarist deputies, such as Gustavo Gayer (PL-GO) and Nikolas Ferreira (MG-PL), are calling supporters for demonstrations in the capitals of their states, but in the morning. In the afternoon, according to interlocutors who organize the event, they should add choir on Paulista Avenue.
