Crisis in Paris: Macron has only bad options

Macron does not like to act under pressure and could take his reaction to the government fall. The head of state is not forced to immediately appoint a successor to Bayrou, since the constitution does not prescribe a deadline in this regard. A year ago, Macron had chosen the Gaullisten Michel Barnier as a premier until two months after the previous government fall. Now Macron should be even more inclined not to get stuck quickly.
