The Senator (Republicans-DF) sent a letter to the Minister of (Comptroller General of the Union), Vinicius de Carvalho, requesting information about the executive secretary of, Márcio Tavares.
As the panel showed, to be determined to make a dinner in July between representatives of MinC and streaming platform executives, who asked for a milder regulation about their activities.
The meeting was not on the Tavares agenda and was only inserted in the system 14 days later, after the Sheet. MINC stated that the CGU “concluded that there are not enough elements to justify the establishment of correctional procedure in relation to the working meeting held by MinC with representatives of the streaming sector”.
In the letter, Damares questions what was the full content of the representation sent by the public defender who requested the investigation and how was processed in the CGU. It also asks which legal and normative criteria were used to conclude that there is no irregular conduct, among other things.
In justification, the senator says that this control “is essential to ensure accountability, evaluating the effectiveness of easendas and improving mechanisms for preventing conflicts of interest in the scope of public administration.”
