The Minister of Institutional Relations, Gleisi Hoffmann, marked this morning a meeting with Planalto Palace Party Ministers of Party to deal with strategies against the approval of a amnesty bill involved in scammers.
It is expected to participate ministers of MDB, PP, União Brasil, PSD and Republicans. All ministers who are close to the House and Senate countertops were invited, and the meeting should also be attended by left -wing ministers, such as PT, PSB and PDT itself and government leaders in parliament.
The House has expanded in recent days the pressure for the project, which could benefit former President Jair Bolsonaro and nullify a possible conviction in the case of the coup plot.

The national domes of PP, União Brasil and Republicans openly support a text that can help Bolsonaro, and their council benches have the majority support to make the initiative walk.
In turn, in the PSD, members of the party summit say that the scenario is division, where the support and rejection of amnesty has similar levels within the House bench. In the MDB, although members of the national summit signal against, there are support within the south and Midwest party wings.
There is a pressure from the PL for the amnesty to include Bolsonaro’s ineligibility reversal, but the request has been resisting in part of the center’s acronyms, which prefer to focus efforts to forgive the possible condemnation in the coup plot.

Within this scenario, the government wants to use the ministers of these parties to reduce the support that the proposal has today in Congress. The idea is to charge the assistants, some of them deputies and licensed senators, to act internally inside the benches to prevent consolidated support from doing with what the text is based.
Government members speak under reserve that there is even a very consolidated scenario in the parties for amnesty support and that this is also due to dissatisfaction with the government. The assessment is that the Planalto Palace needs to solve some obstacles, such as accelerating the pace of release of amendments, to appease the pressure to approve the project demanded by Bolsonarists.
The meeting organized by Gleisi has as its theme the discussion of the government’s priority guidelines in Congress for the second half, such as the project that exempts up to R $ 5,000 of Income Tax, proposals for amendment to the Constitution (PEC) of public safety and provisional measures that are close to losing their validity. Nevertheless, amnesty must be the main theme.

The mayor, Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB), has given signs exchanged on the subject. He met last week with the governor of Sao Paulo, Tarcisio de Freitas (Republicans), to address the subject. Tarcisio has been encouraged by Centrão parties to be a candidate for president in 2026 and using the amnesty motto as a way to wave Bolsonaro and have his support for next year’s dispute.
Agenda without agreement
Last Tuesday, Hugo Motta even said that support for the amnesty grew among Congress leaders and, according to reports of deputies, said in a meeting with leaders, that the issue will inevitably have to be discussed by the House. Nevertheless, two days later, he said there is no agreement yet about the text and decided to empty the House agenda for this week, which will have only voting of topics that are of broad consensus, including virtual vote and the dismissal of presence in Brasilia.
Four days after meeting with Tarcisio, Motta also participated in the September 7 parade promoted by the federal government alongside President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. During the event, shouts contrary to the amnesty were sung.
