The debris of the drone was found at the village of Polatycze near the Polish-Bielus border crossing Terespol at night. Informed the local police, which received an incentive from members of the border guard. No one was injured in the event, Informs Warsaw Newsletter TASR according to PAP.
The debris was located in the corn field approximately 300 meters from the border crossing. Members of the Jandarmor and the police worked on the spot, and prosecutors were also present in the investigation. According to the spokeswoman of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lublin Agnieszka Kepka, the Military Department of this institution is fully taken over. She stressed that the drone was probably unarmed and there were inscriptions in Cyrillic.
Police spokeswoman in the bia-floor Barbara Salczynska-Pyrchla said nothing indicates the presence of dangerous material. The local prosecutor’s office in Biala Podlo was also notified of the event. This is the second similar finding in the region within a few days. On Saturday they found the ruins of the drone in the village of Majdan-Shalec, and according to the Ministry of Defense it was probably a smuggling machine without military characters.
