Runny nose protects against covid-19

Denver-an infection with rhinoviruses, the classic pathogens of runny nose, apparently partially protects against Covid-19. US scientists found this out in a large-scale study with regular recess examinations between May 2020 and February 2021. The likely cause: A rhinovirus infection activates the unspecific immune system of those affected, which subsequently also works against Sars-COV-2.
