Lula authorizes Ibama to hire 460 new employees

Ordinance signed by Minister Esther Dweck allocates 330 vacancies for environmental analysts and 130 for administratives

The President (PT) authorized this Monday (8.Set.2025) the (Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources) to hire 460 higher education civil servants.

The measure is contained in Ordinance 7,522 of 2025, published in the Official Gazette of the Unionsigned by the Minister of Management and Innovation in Public Services, Esther Dweck. Read A (PDF – 191 KB).

Of the total vacancies, 330 are for environmental analyst and 130 for administrative analyst. All approved must undergo documentary verification before hiring, a stage that will be conducted by Ibama himself.

The positions offer initial compensation of R $ 9,994.60 for 40 hours per week. There are additional qualification: R $ 464 for specialization, R $ 922 for masters and R $ 1,387 for doctorate.

The contest, organized by Cebraspe (Brazilian Center for Research on Evaluation and Selection and Event Promotion), was released on August 7, with the list available on D.O.U.

For the appointments to be made, IBAMA will need to prove the existence of vacancies and budget adaptation according to the annual budget law and the budget guidelines law.

According to the Ministry of Management and Innovation, the “Fiscal Health” It is a requirement for hiring, ensuring that the payment of salaries is within the federal government’s tax priorities.

Approved ones may be allocated to any Ibama unit within the federative unit chosen in the contest. The event is valid for 1 year from the approval of the result, made in August 2025, and may be extended for an equal period once.
