The Ministry of Defense (MO) of the Slovak Republic concluded a contract for the development and modernization of the University Hospital with a polyclinic in Prešov worth EUR 447.8 million without VAT. They published the contract in the central register. The contractor is a group of suppliers represented by Bekor. The construction should be completed within 18 months of the start.
The new hospital is to be an end type of medical facility with a total of 1 009 beds With the possibility of full reprofilization to 1,200 beds. It should be built by 2027. The project is realized as a strategic investment.
The construction of a new military hospital in Prešov should go from the plan of renewal of EUR 195 million. The remaining € 255 million was planned to finance the state from its own budget, Specifically from the chapter of the Ministry of Defense.
