“We need elections. But unless there is a very stable ceasefire this is impossible”: exclusive CNN Portugal in Ukraine

Ukraine says Russia has no intention of negotiating peace and that proof of this is the continuous attacks. CNN Portugal’s special envoys in Ukraine, Helena Lins and Nuno Quá, spoke to a deputy of the Ukrainian parliament that ensures that the two countries are still far from a serious possibility of negotiations.

Member of the Ukrainian Parliament, Vadym Halaychuk is deputy of the party of President Volodymyr Zelensky. The mandate expired in 2024 but due to the martial law imposed with the beginning of the war against Russia, Vadym Halaychuk continues in office. He is the vice president of the Commission for the Integration of Ukraine in the European Union.
