This is the first time that André Ventura’s party goes beyond AD in a legislative poll with a historical maximum voting intention: 26.8%.
A poll aired this Thursday by shows the superset, for the first time, AD in the Portuguese voting intentions.
André Ventura’s party now reaches its Historical maximum in a survey: 26.8%. The government party now retreats to 25.9%, with the PS in third with 23.6%.
These numbers, according to the DN, take into account the distribution of 4.9% of voters who claim to be undecided.
The DN/Aximage Barometer indicates a 4 percentage rise from André Ventura’s party regarding the results of this year’s legislative elections.
The poll was based 570 interviews, conducted by a quota sampling, made between September 2 and 5.
The region that obtained the highest percentage of voting intentions in the arrival was Lisbon Metropolitan Areawith 31.9% and the one that registered a smaller number was the Porto Metropolitan Area (19,5%).
60% of respondents also recognize André Ventura as the opposition leader. Even among PS voters, 39% point out Ventura as the opposition leader, and only 35% attribute this position to José Luís Carneiro.
In May, the scenario was quite different, DN highlights: Pedro Nuno Santos was the main figure of the opposition to 49% of respondents in this month’s poll.
