“He has not confessed, does not cooperate, but everyone around him cooperates,” He said Cox on ABC TV in connection with the attack on Kirk, who died on Wednesday as a result of a gunfire of the neck during a debate with Utah Valley University students.
These Cox’s statements have appeared after the reports that the authorities intend to accuse a suspicious 22-year-old Tyler Robinson of the first-degree murder, the illegal use of firearms and obstruction of justice. The accusations against Robinson is expected on Tuesday 16 September. He is currently in the prison of the Orem district, where the university in which the crime was committed.
Robinson is the oldest of the three brothers and lived with his parents in the Washington district in Utah, where his family was registered as Republicans. According to data from this summer, however, he had no formal political affiliation and did not vote for the last elections.
People from Robinson said he was an intelligent person and spent a lot of time playing video games. In recent years, however, he was more interested in politics and at the family dinner before 10 September mentioned that Kirk is in Utah.
Governor Cox in interviews for the media on Sunday claimed that Robinson professed “left -wing ideology”, although it was not associated with any political party and his parents are Republicans.
In an interview with CNN Cox, he said Robinson had a relationship with a transrodal person who was going to translate into a woman. “He had no idea what Robinson is preparing, and is currently working with investigators,” the governor added, saying that it is not yet clear whether this transition was related to the murder motif of Kirkawho was a close ally of former US President Donald Trump.
When several American media reported on Saturday about Robinson’s relationship with a transrodal person, it caused anger activists of the far right spectrumfor whom the gender identity issues are a key topic. Conservative influencer Laura Loomer, who has access to Trump, eg. She called on to declare the transfer movement “terrorist” and the owner of the Platform X Elon Musk has published several contributions calling on the ban on the treatment of gender identity and condemning left -wing ideology.
Kirk was the founder of the Conservative Youth Organization Turning Point USA and strongly criticized the movement for the rights of transrodic persons. He often referred to the Christian faith and criticized what he described as “gender ideology”.
Turning Point USA announced that the commemorative memory of Kirka will take place on 21 September at the football stadium near Phoenix, Arizona. Donald Trump’s participation is also expected.
