China accused the United States of “unilateral intimidation” by asking allies to impose tariffs on China because of the purchase of Russian oil, feeding tensions at the time.
China opposes Washington’s request for the NATO group and the countries of NATO to impose secondary rates on Chinese imports due to the purchase of Russian oil, said the China Ministry of Commerce on Monday, calling it “a classic example of unilateral intimidation and economic coercion.”
On Monday, authorities from China and the US entered a second day of negotiations in Madrid to try to seek common ground in issues that include tariffs and US demand for Tiktok’s divestment by Chinese owner bytedance.
