-SP has announced that it will intensify the monitoring of complaints related to unwanted calls in the next three months. This action is a response to a change in the general telecommunications regulation, which exempts telemarketing companies of the obligation to use the 0303 prefix, now replaced by the expression “verified origin”.

In order to reduce unquited telemarketing calls, Procon-SP offers the “Don’t Call Me” service. Consumers can register through the official website, where it is possible to block connections from companies and third parties. By July this year, the platform has already registered more than 443,000 complaints and has more than 3.5 million registered figures.

In addition to blocking unwanted calls, the “Don’t Call Me” service also allows users to report abusive practices. This initiative aims to protect consumers and ensure that their preferences for communications are respected.
