Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) denied the request submitted by the defense of Lieutenant Colonel Mauro Cid, former Jair Bolsonaro (PL) orders ,.

Cid lawyers argued that the military had already complied with restrictive measures over the past two years – including pre -trial detention and electronic monitoring with limited times – and that this period should be considered sufficient to extinguish the conviction. They also asked for the return of passports and the restitution of the seized assets.

Moraes, however, pointed out that the request is “premature” and can only be analyzed when the process is res judicata, that is, after the exhaustion of all appeals.
