During the screening, the doctors evaluate whether there are sores or mouth wounds that do not heal. There are other warning signs: nodules in the neck, sore throat or hoarseness that do not pass after three weeks.
Beyond risk habits, such as daily consumption of alcohol and tobacco, doctors also warn to increase cases in the younger ones, usually related to the HPV infection.
