The UN criticizes the Israeli attack in Doha and calls for responsibility. Israel responds with disagreement with UNHRC statements.

The UN High Human Rights Commissioner Volker Türk said on Tuesday that last week’s air attack Israel in Katar pose a threat to regional peace and stability and called for “responsibility for illegal killing”. According to the AFP report, TASR reports this.

Last week, Israel took air attacks on Dauho, Qatar, which he aimed primarily at the main negotiator of the militant Hamas Chalíl Hajja movement. Qatar is one of the important allies of Washington in the Gulf of Persian and plays a key role as an intermediary in negotiations on the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

International condemnation of the attack

Five members of the movement died in the attack. Hamas said on Friday that his main negotiator survived. The attack was caused by a wide international conviction, including the Gulf monarchies, which are allies of the United States.

“The Israeli attack on negotiators in Doha 9 September was a shocking violation of international law,” the UN Council told the UN Council for Human Rights (UNHRC). At an extraordinary meeting, the Commissioner called the incident “attack on regional peace and stability and strike against the integrity of intermediary and negotiating processes worldwide”. “That’s why I condemn him and call on this advice and all governments to do the same,” Türk added.

UN urgent debate

On Monday, UNHRC announced that Pakistan’s applications on behalf of Islamic Cooperation Member States (OIC) and Kuwait on behalf of the Council for the Cooperation of the Arab States of the Gulf of Persian (GCC) on Tuesday will organize an urgent debate on the Israeli air attack in Doha.

Israel disconnected from UNHRC earlier this year and responded indignantly to the report on the urgent debate. “This proves that the Human Rights Council does not support the human rights of victims – she is and has always been a security guards of human rights violators,” wrote the Israeli mission at the UN in Geneva on the Platform X.

“This urgent meeting is absurd. Any result it will bring will be a stain on the mechanisms of human rights protection,” she added.
