Unemployment rate drops to 5.6%, the lowest in the historical series

Brazil’s unemployment rate fell to 5.6% in the quarter from May to July. It reached the lowest level in the historical series, which began in 2012. It retreated 1.0 percentage point compared to the previous quarter, from February to April, when it was 6.6%. In absolute numbers, the eviction reaches 6.1 million people.

The (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics) released the result this Thursday (16.Set.2025). The unemployment rate fell 1.2 percentage point compared to the same period (quarter ended in July) last year.
