Three normal life habits can quietly increase the risk of cancer, and most people are not even aware of it. While smoking has long been considered the main preventive cause of cancer, obesity overcomes it. According to Professor Franklin Joseph, head of Dr. Frank’s Weight Loss Clinic, just Everyday habits – from what we drink, to when we eat – can worsen the risk of disease, informs.
1. Sweet drinks and hidden calories
“Energy and carbonated drinks are silent killers,“Says Professor Joseph.” Excess sugar causes weight gain, insulin resistance and inflammation. All this increases the risk of intestinal and pancreas cancer. Replace sweetened drinks with water, mineral water with lemon or unsweetened tea, ” recommended to people.
“Alcohol remains one of the most underestimated risk factors. Already a small amount of alcohol increases the risk of breast, liver or esophagus,” warns an expert. “The problem is that alcohol is socially so acceptable that people forget that this is a carcinogen,” Franklin believes.
“You do not have to completely exclude it if you do not want, but the limitation to several drinks a week and alcohol -free days can significantly improve your long -term health,” noted.
3. Night eating and sedentary way of life
Professor Joseph also points out the impact of night eating and excessive sedentary lifestyle. “The body has its natural biorhythm and eating late at night disrupts it. This is related to the increased risk of obesity and metabolic problems that subsequently increase the risk of cancer,” explained.
“Likewise, long sessions do not only affect your weight – they change hormone levels and reduce the ability of the body to regulate blood sugar and inflammatory processes. Even short breaks to position and move every hour can reduce the risk, ” added.
