Eagle Football shareholders decided Botafogo to end judicial dispute. In addition, they require that Christopher MallonIndependent Director of Eagle, starts to participate in the club’s deliberations. The information was initially published by the website “UOL”.
The position, formalized on Monday (15/09) in the court of Rio de Janeiro, belies the version of Textor, who had said that the parts were already aligned and that the dispute would be “closed”.
Shareholders are still trying to nullify the General Assembly held in July, in an initiative that seeks to limit the textor powers. Eagle set a deadline until Wednesday (17/09) to receive a response on the proposed terms.
Among the clauses presented by the shareholders are:
- No corporate contract or act may be signed without the presence of the Eagle independent director; If this occurs, it should be immediately presented to the court and will be suspended until reevaluation of the arbitral tribunal.
- Recognition that there is controversy about the representation of Textor, and it is agreed that all corporate acts involving the Eagle or the Board of Directors may only occur with the participation of the independent director.
- Commitment to undo, within 30 days, all deliberations taken at the Assembly and the Council on July 17, 2025.
- JUDICIAL APPROVAL OF THE AGREEMENT, WITH REGISTRATION IN JUCERJA, to ensure public validity and legal effects before third parties.
