The minister of the (Federal Supreme Court) requested a statement by the (Attorney General’s Office) about a request for investigation of possible practice of obstruction of justice by the governor of, (), in the trial of Jair Bolsonaro.
The order was made after the representation of federal deputy Rui Falcão (PT-SP), filed on the last day 3, who questions Tarcisio’s performance in the trial of Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and the other defendants in the so-called crucial core of the coup plot.
The parliamentarian asked the Supreme Court to impose precautionary measures to the governor, such as the prohibition of leaving the country without judicial authorization, the retention of the passport, the incommunicability with defendants and investigated by scammer acts and the obligation to abstain from any act that may configure “improper pressure” on the Court.
Moraes requested a manifestation of the PGR in five days. From then on, there will be a decision on possible opening of investigation into the case.
According to Rui Falcão, “Tarcísio de Freitas moved to Brasilia with the purpose of articulating with the Mayor of Deputies, Hugo Motta, and leaders of Parliament, a direct interference in the exercise of the judiciary, under the pretext of processing an amnesty project designed to benefit Jair Bolsonaro and other defendants of the coup plot.”
Members of Centrão and Tarcisio parties seek an agreement to amnesty Bolsonaro and thus keeping him ineligible and outside the 2026 electoral dispute.
