Lula advised to go to the latest consequences on INSS fraud, says minister

Social Security Minister Wolney Queiroz said on Thursday (18) that the president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) recommended that the government goes to the last consequences with the investigations of deviations in INSS (National Institute of Social Security).

He participates in the program Good morning, ministerfrom EBC (Brazil Communication Company).

Wolney said the Federal Police are investigating the case, but stated that they have no privileged information. He said he learned of operations and new phases of the inquiry along with the press.

Another recommendation from Lula for the minister, he said, was to propagate on TV and radio that retirees injured in undue discount fraud in benefits should seek compensation: “The government wants to pay.”
