Congress circumvents vetoes with environmental licensing, says NGO

Climate Observatory states that 80% Amendments inserted in provisional measure of the “alcohumbre amendment” circumvent Lula’s decision

  • 95 advance (11.4%);
  • 670 setback (80.4%);
  • 616 reintroduce vetoed devices (74%);
  • 31 are jabutis (3.7%).

The survey says that 30% of the amendments that reintroduce vetoed devices by Lula were presented by congressmen from the PL (Liberal Party).
