A golden statue of almost 4 meters representing President Donald Trump holding a bitcoin was installed last Wednesday (18) in front of the US capitol in Washington.
The work, which was temporarily exposed, was funded by a cryptocurrency investor collective.
According to Hichem Zaghoudi, representative of the group, the work aims to foster the debate about the future of digital currencies, monetary policy and the role of the federal government in financial markets.

“The purpose of the installation is to provoke a reflection on the currency issued by the government and symbolize the intersection between modern politics and financial innovation,” said Zaghoudi.
He pointed out that the statue also pays tribute to Trump’s declared support to cryptocurrencies, attracting the attention of observers and enthusiasts in the industry.
