Washington/Tehran/Geneva-the UN Security Council did not accept a draft resolution on the permanent abolition of sanctions against Iran on Friday. The 15-member UN Security Council voted on Friday about the draft resolution after Great Britain, France and Germany initiated a 30-day mechanism to reintroduce UN sanctions on August 28. Tehran and European countries still have eight days to agree on a postponement.
