It has made defendants entrepreneurs accused of diverting money from the National Association and the Paulista Union from the medical equipment industry, through an e scheme.
The actions were opened from the award -winning denunciation of lawyers Luiz Carlos Claro, known as Lulli Chiaro, and Gabriel Claro, and are an offshoot of Operation Disposal, which began in 2018.
According to them, the irregularities occurred through fictional contracts signed with his law firm. In practice, they issued cold notes and controlled companies used to move values illegally.
In two criminal actions, the Federal Prosecutor’s Office states that one of the businessmen, Franco Palmolla, participated in a scheme as CEO of Lifemed, medical equipment, and as president of ABIMO (Brazilian Association of Medical Device Industry).
Only at Lifemed, from 2010 to 2017, says the Attorney’s Office, the evaded amount would have added $ 14 million. In relation to the associations, the prosecution says that there was a deviation of at least $ 3.2 million between 2014 and 2017.
The structure was replicated under the scope of ABIMO/SINAEMO (Union of the Industry of Dental, Doctors and Hospital Articles and Equipment of the State of São Paulo), according to investigations.
The prosecution states that Palmolla, Ruy Baumer, president of Sinaemo, and Paulo Fracto, secretary of the union, also articulated to apply the scheme to associations for their own benefit.
Sought, Claro lawyers Danyelle Galvão and Ortélio Marrero said the defense “reiterates all commitments signed when the award -winning collaboration agreement.”
The panel tried to contact the defenders of Pallamolla, Baumer and Fraccaro, but got no return.
