In Mourinho’s debut, Benfica thrashes AVS in the Portuguese Championship

O Benfica thrashed AVS 3-0 this Saturday (20), for the sixth round of Portuguese championship. Heorhiy Sudakov, Vangelis Pavlids and Franço Ivanovic scored the goals of the “incarnated.”

The match marked the coach’s debut José Mourinhothat, replacing Bruno Lage.

With the result, Benfica took over the vice-leadership of the Portuguese Championship, with 13 points. On the other hand, AVS, a team that climbed the second division this season, follows the flashlight, with only one point.

It opened the marker 48 minutes into the first half. Heorhiy Sudakov appeared to be left inside the area and completed for the nets.

Already 14 minutes of the second half, Pavlids expanded, on a penalty. The athlete hit the top to beat goalkeeper Simon.
