Thousands of people fulfill tradition with ten years to pray for divine protection in the Sanctuary of Fatima.
Thousands of motorcyclists participate this Sunday in the X Pilgrimage of the blessing of helmets at the Sanctuary of Fatima, with a mass presided by the Patriarch of Lisbon, Rui Valério.
Tradition has been repeated ten years ago and began in parking parks, extending in recent years to the sanctuary’s prayer enclosure.
This is one of the greatest pilgrimages to the IRIA Cova, which invites the Motorcyclists to participate in the celebrations, namely in the reception of pilgrims, the transport of the Andor, the support of the distribution of communion, the recitation of the Rosary and the proclamation of the readings.
In 2024, the pilgrimage of the blessing of the helmets more than 180,000 motorcyclists participated in the pilgrimage.
