Airplane pilot that made forced landing told police that he confused motel lights with those of the airport track

According to the police, after realizing that it was not the track, the pilot tried to bump, but lost the acceleration of one of the engines and collided with the ground in the pasture near Republic Avenue of Lebanon, a few meters before reaching the airport.

According to the Fire Department, only the pilot was in the aircraft. He had minor injuries on his face and remained time at the scene until he was taken by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) to a hospital.

Already the firefighters, the pilot said he noticed an engine problem and decided to do the forced landing maneuver at the site, near Votuporanga State Airport and Pericles Belini (SP-461) highway.

The Military Police were at the scene and isolated the area until the arrival of the Civil Police. The investigation will be done by the Center for Research and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (Cenipa).
